Any item placed on board an aircraft must be checked to make sure that nothing has been placed within it that could endanger the plane, passengers or crew. Dangerous Goods

HSE regulations require that all companies dealing with such goods train their staff to ensure that everyone knows what the dangers are and how to keep them safe. The training can be detailed, DG Specialist, or just a basic awareness package to ensure that all dealing with such consignments are kept safe. Training is provided for all modes of DG transport, Road, Sea and Air.
Dangerous Goods Awareness ADR & IMDG
For managers` supervisors and other staff who require an overview or awareness of the subject to meet the requirements of the Road and Sea DG regulations. This course covers the inter-relationship between the road and sea dangerous goods regulations and covers the following areas: classification of all dangerous goods, packaging and labelling requirements, documents required, transportation requirements and common problems that prevent the timely transport of loads. The course comprises mini-exercises to assist in applying the knowledge and theory into their workplace.

Dangerous Goods Awareness, Road-Sea-Air
This is an excellent introduction for any person who needs to know what procedures, labels, packaging, documents and storage/transport arrangements are required to ensure that they remain legally compliant with all aspects of dangerous goods transportation.
The content of the course will look at the particular requirements of each mode of transport, road, sea and air and each participant will be provided with a comprehensive reference pack which they can easily apply once back in their workplace.

Dangerous Goods by Air - An Introduction
Dangerous Goods transported by air are subject to the IATA DG by Air regulations. All staff engaged in any of the processes of shipping and operating aircraft that have the capacity to interact or handle DG shipments are required under the aforementioned regulations to receive an introductory and DG awareness training course.
This 4 hour course will cover the basic principles of Dangerous Goods and porvide an overview of the IATA DG procedures and the employee`s role in ensuring that all such shipments are kept safe at all times.

Dangerous Goods Specialist ADR and IMDG
For any employee who is required to manage, organise, accept or despatch dangerous goods. This course is a detailed examination of the specific responsibilities that need to be in place to ensure the safe transportation of such loads. Clear instruction, guidance and practical hands-on exercises allow the participants to navigate through the complex dangerous goods manuals and to ensure that their products do not suffer undue delay or cause unacceptable levels of danger during their movement across the road and sea networks in and around the British Isles.

DfT Aviation Security Level 1 - Security Searching
All staff engaged in searching cargo offered for transport by air must be trained to search consignments effectively in the event of equipment breakdown or malfunction. This course will cover all knowledge, skills and theory required by the Department of Transport and includes practical demonstrations and opportunities to hone the participants hand-searching skills. Content of the course includes all those contained within Level 4 as well as instruction on the contents of improvised explosive/incendiary devices, methods of concealment, recognition of explosives, firearms and their component parts, action to take on discovery of items and the legislation and procedures that must be applied to ensure all searches are conducted effectively.

DfT Aviation Security Level 1 Security Searching including X-Ray
All staff engaged in searching cargo offered for transport by air must be trained to search consignments effectively using both the physical/visual methods and the X-Ray screening equipment. Full instruction and practical sessions on the X-Ray machine are a necessity for this course and is the main reason why the course is only offered on an in-house clients premises only basis. The course concludes with small written tests and a practical exam on the X-Ray machine. Participants will learn the correct use of the X-Ray machine, effective use of its controls, safe use and testing (CTP) procedures and accompanying paperwork in addtion to the content covered in the Level 1 (Non- X-Ray) course.

DfT Aviation Security Level 2 Security Supervisors
The security function of any business engaged in offering goods for transport through any of the UK's airports is essential to meet the known and unknown threats. All security functions, personnel and procedures need constant supervision to ensure that standards are upheld and applied in accordance with the law. This course will provide all security supervisors with the requisite knowledge and skills to apply the Department for Transport's Aviation Security programme. The course concludes with small written tests for each module covered.

DfT Aviation Security Level 4 Security Awareness
Any person employed within the Air Cargo industry in any capacity requires this introductory security awareness training. All security training within the industry is mandated and governed by the Department for Transport. This course comprises 4 modules that examine the nature and extent of the threat to the industry, the principles of the air cargo security procedures, action to take on witnessing suspicious incidents and dealing with threats made by telephone. Each module is assessed by a small written test
